Celebrating femininity

I had a long post trying to explain why I think my girlfriends and I taking photos in our night gowns is empowering. It almost sounded like …….

Today I am talking about Beauty! Yes, the B word!

Weather we say it or not, every woman at one point or another is judged based on her physical appearance that the society she lives in deems as acceptable. We all have been confused by the contradictions around the B word. You know the likes “your inner beauty matters more than the outer” But yet somehow required to meet certain standards of beauty anyway.  We see how women are celebrated all over media for being skinny, criticized for being too skinny. Curves being seen as sexy but also vulgar. It is just a never ending love hate relationship with the female body leaving women…..

You know what scratch that!

The thing that I wanted for my girls and I during my birthday is to celebrate being a woman and be unapologetic about our sexuality. I know there are several ways to do that, but  I am fascinated by femininity and sensuality.

We therefore escaped to a country club hotel where we took time to just zen. The hotel was beautiful with nice facilities, perfect location for a getaway. Delicious food and best believe we had loads of champagne say cheers to our best life.

Like I said, I took time off to able to get Rachel back.
And this weekend marked the birth of Rachel 2.0
